The Phil Mattson Singers will perform a concert at 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 28, at The Kenwood retirement community, 825 Summit Avenue, Minneapolis. The event is free and open to the public.
The six-voice ensemble is based in Minneapolis and led by Grammy-nominated pianist, teacher, arranger, conduct and Kenwood resident, Phil Mattson. Mattson is well-known as an arranger, having written for The Manhattan Transfer, The Four Freshmen, The Real Group, Chanticleer, the Dale Warland Singer, among others. In addition, choral music is provided by Brahms, Debussy and Hindemith.
The Kenwood is a rental retirement community which provides independent and assisted living apartments and a full schedule of activities and services. Furnished apartments are also available for a short-term stay – a weekend, a week, a month or longer.
